Economic Impact Payments

The IRS has started distributing the second round of economic impact payments. Lamar Bank and Trust has processed all payments received from the IRS for direct deposit at this time. If you have not received your economic impact payment, you may be receiving a check in the mail or a prepaid debit card from the IRS even if your last stimulus payment was made by direct deposit. Please check the IRS website for the most up-to-date information on stimulus payments.

As a result of the economic impact payments, we are experiencing high call volumes so we encourage use of online, mobile, or voice banking to check your account for the most up-to-date transactions. We will not be able to respond to individual messages sent asking for the status of stimulus payments due to the volume of inquiries. If you do not see the payment in your Transactions list, please check the IRS website. Unfortunately we do not have access to a schedule of when you will receive your stimulus payment.

As a reminder, please be on the alert for scams tied to economic impact payments and be diligent in protecting your banking information. The IRS will never call, text, mail, message you on social media, or email you to verify your bank account information. Do not open any suspicious texts or emails, or click any attachments or links, and do not provide any of your direct deposit or banking information if asked.
